Celia Wetherill, director of the Bixby Community Center, was appreciative of the youth and young adults who participated in this year’s Green Corn Festival Youth Talent Show.
“We had a total of 29 participants,” said Wetherill. “The judges had an extremely difficult time selecting the winners for each age division.”
The winners of the 6-10 year olds were: First Place – Samantha Spring, gymnastics, Second Place Laney Pearman, singing “This is the Stuff,” and Third Place, Khloe Bishop, who also sang.
The winners of the 11-13 year olds were: First Place – Katarina DeSpain, who had a ventriloquist and singing act with her puppet, Second Place went to Trey Jezik with a guitar solo, and Third Place went to Ragan Fletcher for her vocal performance.
The winners of the 14-18 year olds were: First Place – Dylan Whitney with his electric guitar, Second Place went to Busters’ Guitar Store band. Third Place went to Erin Hofener for her jazz dance routine.
