    Reasor’s Recycle Hope Program Gives to Food for Kids Backpack Program

    TAHLEQUAH, OK – [September 23, 2011] – Due to the recent announcement of Angel Food Ministries closing its doors, other local food assistance programs will see an increase in the number of individuals who rely on assistance programs to feed their families.

    Recycle Hope is Reasor’s and the Community Food Bank of Eastern Oklahoma’s new program which allows customers using reusable bags to bag their groceries the opportunity to donate their reusable bag savings to the help feed hungry children.

    Currently, any customer who uses reusable bags saves 5¢ off their total purchase per reusable bag used. With Recycle Hope, the customer can now choose to donate their savings to the Food for Kids Backpack Program of the Community Food Bank of Eastern Oklahoma.

    To participate, simply use reusable bags to bag your groceries. Customers can bring their ownreusable bags, or there are reusable bags available for purchase near the registers at all locations. Customers will automatically save 5¢ off their total purchase per reusable bag used.

    To donate your savings, inform the cashier that you wish to donate your savings to Recycle Hope.
