CITY OF BIXBY ADDRESSES HIGH WATER DEMAND

“The high water demand due to sustained high temperatures is causing pressure fluctuations in our distribution system.  Therefore, while water reserves for Bixby are at a sustainable level, continued demand is making it increasingly difficult to keep them that way.

At this time households and neighborhood associations are being asked by the Bixby Public Works Authority to voluntarily scale back on watering lawns and landscaping to help alleviate the pressure fluctuations.  The City of Bixby has shut down the Splash Pad Facilities and limiting irrigation activities to further this effort.”
