Erik Enyart, city planner for the City of Bixby, says this list does not include speculative new developments which he hears about every day, but it does share what is planned for Bixby right now. Within the month, The Bixby Bulletin will explore and expand on some of these undertakings.
Reasor’s supermarket, which will go south of Lowe’s and east of Chili’s will break ground soon.
Encore on Memorial, a 248-unit upscale apartment complex at 126th St. S. and Memorial Dr., is under construction.
North Bixby Commerce Park is in the works.
In 16 acres west of Fire Station No. 2 on 121st St. dirtwork/grading is in progress as approved by FEMA and the City of Bixby. When the buildings are to be constructed, the mini-storage part of the development will begin, the first three of eight mini-storage buildings. The site plan and PUD also call for three “trade center” buildings in the middle, such as are found in Crosscreek and Park Place / Market Pointe South at 111th St. S. and Memorial Dr. The front lot is planned for a retail strip center. Those developments, and the rest of the mini-storage buildings, would proceed when the market allows for them.
First National Bank is to be developed at 9696 E. 101st St. S. (southwest corner of 101st St. S. and Mingo Rd.
Communications Federal Credit Union is to be built at 11894 S. Memorial Dr.
