Audrey Linholm, the 2011 Miss Bixby, wants to turn pancakes into books for Central Elementary.

Linholm is a freshman at the University of Tulsa this year, but even so, she hasn’t yet mastered magic. To turn pancakes into books, she’s teaming up with Darrell Wiegand of Applebee’s for a FlapJack Fund-raiser which will support the pageant and Bixby’s Central Elementary School Library. Time and place are 7-10 AM, Saturday, Oct. 8, at 10461 S. Memorial Dr.

“Audrey loves books and came up with this idea on her own,” says Victoria Oltmann, co-director of the Miss Bixby Pageant. “And Vicki Heister, the librarian at Central Elementary, is thrilled.
