Leadership Bixby is a 7-session program, sponsored and coordinated by the Bixby Metro Chamber of Commerce, to identify, educate and develop a select group of Bixby citizens for positions of community leadership. Participants meet each month during September, October November, January, February, March and April.
The program’s principal goal is to build a resource of community leadership on a planned, continuing basis with four specific objectives:
- To identify potential community leaders.
- To expand the leadership potential of participants by increasing their knowledge of Bixby and the critical issues that face the community and to introduce participants to present community leaders.
- To improve communications between present and future leaders.
- To provide a channel for those not presently in leadership roles to gain access to positions of community leadership in an informed and responsible manner.
