| CHAMBERS AND ELECTIONS: A Chamber of Commerce does not endorse candidates, as part of the 501(c)6 charter. However, most chambers DO host forums to educate community leaders about upcoming elections. The goal of the Chamber and the Business Advocacy Committee is to raise the bar on city wide elections by informing and educating voters, and encouraging voter turnout, as well as to provide candidates with an opportunity to introduce themselves to voters.
